The phone gets answered. In under 2 seconds.
Orbit Voice is the AI receptionist that picks up calls when you can't — but the part that matters isn't the answer, it's what happens next. Voice doesn't take a message and disappear. It hands the conversation to Recall, which texts the customer back, parses their reply, and books the appointment via Confirm. One brain, one chain, one customer record.
Latency claim, with the receipts.
"Under 2 seconds" only matters if it's measured against something real. Here's exactly what we count and how — and what we explicitly don't.
Time-to-answer (TTA) — the <2s claim
- Start clock: Twilio webhook fires
CallStatus=ringingfor the inbound number. - Stop clock: Retell sends the first audio frame back to the caller (LLM is online and speaking).
- What's not counted: the time the carrier takes to route the call before our number receives the ring (5–15s on most US carriers — outside our control).
- Sample size: rolling 30-day median across all 15 verticals' Voice-enabled tenants.
- Source: Retell call logs + Twilio status callbacks, joined on
CallSid.
What an Orbit call actually sounds like.
These are illustrative scripts (not recordings of real customers) showing the prompt + handoff pattern. Voice is purpose-built per vertical — the SiteLine prompt asks about trade + emergency status, the AgentEdge prompt asks about buy/sell/rent — but the shape is always the same: qualify, capture, hand off.
SiteLine · roofer · after-hours leak call
AgentEdge · buyer · weekend showing inquiry
What Voice does that nobody else does.
An AI receptionist that just answers the phone is now a commodity — Rosie, Smith.ai, Goodcall all have one. The difference is whether the conversation actually goes anywhere after the call ends.
