Module 4 of 6 · Live · Transparency report

Lead discovery, with the receipts. And the off-switch.

Scout is the only Orbit module that touches the outside world before a customer asks us to. So it's the one we hold to the highest transparency bar: every source named, every signal explained, every business able to remove themselves with one form. This page is the receipts.

These figures come from BizBot's own internal prospecting catalog — a live, working demonstration of Scout's harvesting. They are not per-customer results; each tenant's Scout leads are private to that business.

Where the data comes from

Every source, named.

Scout uses public business data only. No bought lists, no scraped private info, no facial recognition, no profile stitching from social platforms.

Public sources Scout reads

  • Google Business Profile (public) — live today: business name, category, address, public phone, public website, average rating, review count. This is the source Scout reads right now.

On the roadmap (not yet live): State Secretary of State filings (registered name, formation date, agent where public); public domain-registration data where allowed (domain age, registrar — only fields not redacted by WHOIS privacy); and the business's own self-published website content (respecting robots.txt, rate-limited per domain).

What Scout will never do

  • No private data. Scout never scrapes private LinkedIn pages, gated Facebook groups, or anything behind a login.
  • No facial images. We don't collect or analyze face photos — full stop. Profile pictures from public listings are linked, not stored.
  • No bought lists. Scout doesn't ingest data brokered from Apollo, ZoomInfo, or list resellers.
  • No personal phone or email harvesting. Only the business contact info publicly listed by the business itself.
  • No outreach without opt-out check. Before any vertical's outreach module reads a Scout lead, the lead is checked against the opt-out registry.
How we score

The "gap score" — what it actually means.

Each lead gets a 0–100 gap score representing how much room there is for digital presence improvement. Higher = more room. Lower = already well-served. We publish the formula.

Inputs to gap score

Every lead starts at a base of 40; these public signals add or subtract from there (clamped 0–100):

  • +25 pts — No website listed at all.
  • +18 pts — Google rating below 4.0.
  • +12 pts — No reviews on file yet.
  • +8 pts — Fewer than 10 reviews.
  • +6 pts — Website link present but not a valid URL (looks broken).
  • +5 pts — No public phone listed.
  • −8 pts — Already well-established (100+ reviews) — less room, lower score.

Find your business in Scout? Remove it in 30 seconds.

Send us your business name + the city we have you listed in, and we'll remove you from the catalog and add the phone + domain to a permanent block list. No login required, no questions asked. We process opt-outs within 24 hours.

Opt out →

The Scout transparency pledge.

Scout exists because BizBot serves verticals where the next customer is rarely the one who walks in — they're the one who Googled, didn't find a great option, and went elsewhere. Lead discovery, done well, is how you reach them. Done badly, it's spam.

We commit to: (1) only public sources, (2) no facial data ever, (3) opt-out honored within 24h and respected forever, (4) any outreach generated downstream is clearly identified as coming from a BizBot product, with one-click unsubscribe, (5) if a regulator (state AG, FTC, ICO) requires changes, we update this page within 30 days and notify everyone in the catalog.

Scout powers vertical-specific lead lists

Scout is how the brain finds who to call next.

Scout-discovered leads only get touched by an Orbit outreach module after the owner explicitly approves the campaign. No automatic dialing, no automatic SMS, no surprise lead lists arriving in your dashboard.
