Every question prospects ask. Answered honestly.
Below is the FAQ that gets sent to every prospect on the first call. It's also indexed by Google via JSON-LD so you can land here directly from search. If your question isn't here, email hello@bizbottech.com — the founder reads every one.
What is Orbit?
Orbit is the brain architecture that powers all 15 BizBot vertical products. It's six modules — Voice, Recall, Stars, Scout, Confirm, Chat — and inside YOUR business they share one customer record so a missed call, a text-back, an appointment booking, and a review reply all see the same customer history. Each tenant's brain is fully isolated from every other tenant's. The connective tissue across modules within a tenant is the moat, not any individual module. Read the long version: /orbit/moat.
How is Orbit different from Rosie or Smith.ai or Podium?
Rosie and Smith.ai answer phones. Podium runs reviews + chat. Orbit does all of those plus they share one customer record. When the same person who left a 5-star review last month calls today, the receptionist knows that — Rosie's doesn't, because her stack doesn't read your reviews. The voice agent itself is roughly the same; the difference is what happens after the call.
Why 15 verticals instead of one good general-purpose tool?
Because the AI prompts that make a roofer's call-handler great are very different from the prompts that make a real-estate agent's lead-qualifier great. The brain architecture underneath is shared infrastructure (one orchestrator, one event log, one schema, one chat widget) — that's what makes vertical 15 cost two weeks of engineering instead of two quarters. But each tenant's customer data is fully isolated by business_id; no cross-tenant data sharing.
What does Orbit cost?
Orbit is bundled into the + bizbot add-on ($67/mo) or alternative multi-seat plans on top of any BizBot vertical's Basic plan. Both add-ons include all the live modules. See /pricing for the full tier breakdown.
Can I try Orbit without a sales call?
Yes. Pick any vertical from /apps and the Free tier lets you test most modules. The + bizbot add-on is self-serve from any vertical's pricing page. The live brain feed at /orbit/brain.html shows real (sanitized) events with no signup required.
What's the time-to-value?
Median: same day. Voice + Recall are running within 15 minutes of porting your phone number to Twilio. Stars works on day-one with a manual paste-in for reviews. Confirm needs your calendar connected (Google: 2 min, Outlook: 5 min). Chat is one script tag on your site.
Can I see Orbit working before I sign up?
Yes — three ways: (1) /orbit/brain.html shows real sanitized events streaming live; (2) the "Run sample chain" button on that page simulates the 5-event flow client-side; (3) the live event feed API at /api/orbit-brain-public-feed is publicly documented at /orbit/api with no auth required.
Where does the customer data live?
Supabase Postgres in US-East. Encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). See the full data map at /orbit/security including subprocessors, deletion SLAs, and our honest compliance status.
Do you have SOC 2?
Type I targeted 2026-Q3. Type II is 12 months after that. If you can't deploy without a Type II report today, we're not the right vendor for you yet — and we'll tell you that on the first call. /orbit/security spells out the full compliance roadmap honestly.
What if my customer data needs to stay in the EU?
Currently we can't do that — Supabase is US-East only for our project. Email content is EU-resident via Brevo, but customer profiles aren't. EU residency is on the roadmap targeting 2026-Q4. If you have a hard requirement today, we're not the right vendor.
What happens if I cancel?
You can cancel any time from your dashboard. Customer data is soft-retained for 90 days in case you resub, then hard-deleted. Customer-deletion requests at any time are honored within 30 days. Full retention/deletion table at /orbit/security.
Is the AI on Orbit better than what competitors use?
No. We use Claude Haiku for the orchestrator and most module-specific generation. Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google all sell roughly equivalent commodity LLMs. The differentiation isn't the model — it's that all six modules read from and write to the same customer record.
Can I integrate Orbit with my existing CRM?
Today: limited. Outbound webhooks from Orbit events to Zapier are live. Direct integrations with Jobber, ServiceTitan, HubSpot, etc. aren't built yet — they're on the roadmap once a customer asks for one specifically. The vertical-specific dashboards are the primary interface for now.
Are you going to be acquired or shut down?
BizBot is a 1-person company (Steve Stott, founder). The honest read: we're financially sustainable but not yet acquisition-attractive. We're shipping fast (see /orbit/changelog). The strategic risk register at the org level is live tracked. Acquirer interest exists but we're not seeking exit before $5M ARR.
Who is Steve Stott?
Founder + sole engineer of BizBot Technology LLC. Built every line of code on every vertical. Reads every email to hello@bizbottech.com personally. The 1-person posture is deliberate for now — see /orbit/security for the honest read on what that means for response times and what it means for SOC 2.
