CaseFile is currently the only legal vertical. Specialty firms (PI, family, immigration, criminal, IP) configure CaseFile's intake script to match their practice area — same brain underneath, different qualifying questions on top.

Voice runs the intake script — including the conflict-check questions baked into the prompt for your practice area. Recall follows up by SMS for any caller who hangs up before completing intake. Confirm books the consultation only after the conflict-check passes. Chat on your firm site qualifies leads in the same shape, hands them to the same intake flow when they leave.
What Orbit does + does not do for legal practices
Defaults that match ABA guidance:
- Voice agent always discloses it's an AI in the opening line — never claims to be an attorney or paralegal.
- No legal advice given — intake captures facts, never opines on case merits or likely outcomes.
- Conflict-check questions configured per practice area, with hard-coded refusal to schedule consultation if a conflict is flagged (escalates to the attorney).
- Standard disclaimer in confirmation SMS: "This communication is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship until a fee agreement is signed."
What Orbit explicitly doesn't do: render legal opinions, sign engagement letters on your behalf, draft legal documents (brief generation in CaseFile is research-prompt-aided, not autonomous), or handle anything that requires attorney judgment. The brain captures the call; the attorney runs the case.
State bar variance: ABA Model Rules are the floor, not the ceiling. Your state bar may have stricter rules around AI-assisted intake.
