Setup Guide
bizbot Stars & SMS Review Requests
Automatically ask happy customers for Google reviews — and stay on top of every new one that comes in.
What You'll Need Before We Start
- Your Google Business Profile URL (the link to your Google Maps listing)
- A list of recent customers with their phone numbers (even 10–20 to start)
- Access to your Google Business Profile account (you'll need to be logged in at least once)
- A short, friendly message you want to send — or just let us write it for you
Important: Only send review requests to real customers who have genuinely interacted with your business. Google's guidelines prohibit asking for reviews from people who haven't used your services.
Step-by-Step Setup
1
Share Your Google Business Profile Link
We need your direct Google review link so we can send customers straight to the right page. Here's how to find it:
- → Search for your business on Google Maps (e.g., "Smith Plumbing Dallas")
- → Click on your listing, then look for the "Write a review" button
- → Right-click "Write a review" and copy that link — OR use Google Business Profile manager to get a shareable review link
- → Email that link to hello@bizbottech.com
Shortcut: Log into your Google Business Profile at business.google.com → Your profile → click "Share review form." Copy that link directly — it goes straight to your Google review compose page.
Once you have the link, paste it into your bizbot onboarding form or email it to hello@bizbottech.com with subject line "Stars Setup." We configure everything from there.
2
bizbot Sets Up Review Monitoring
Once we have your Google Business Profile link, we connect it to your bizbot account. From this point on, we'll alert you any time a new review comes in — positive or negative.
- → We monitor your listing 24/7 for new reviews
- → You'll get an email notification within minutes of a new review
- → Negative reviews trigger a priority alert so you can respond quickly
Responding quickly to negative reviews — especially within the first hour — can dramatically reduce the impact. We'll make sure you never miss one.
3
See What the Review Request Text Looks Like
Before we send anything to your customers, here's exactly what they'll receive. It's a simple, friendly text message:
SMS Preview — What Your Customers See
Hi [Customer Name]! Thanks so much for choosing Smith Plumbing. We'd love to hear about your experience — would you mind leaving us a quick Google review? It means the world to us! 🙏
g.page/smithplumbing/review
g.page/smithplumbing/review
Delivered
- → The message uses your business name and the customer's first name automatically
- → The link goes directly to your Google review form — one tap and they're there
- → You can customize the message wording — just let us know what you'd prefer
4
Launch Your First Review Request Campaign
Start with your existing happy customers — the ones who've had a good experience in the last 90 days. You'll send us a simple list and we handle everything from there.
- → Export your recent customer list from your scheduling or POS system
- → We need just two columns: First Name and Phone Number
- → Send via the onboarding form or email to hello@bizbottech.com
- → Your bizbot team reviews the list, stages the send, and confirms timing with you before anything goes out
Start with 10–25 people you're confident had a positive experience. A high-quality first batch produces a strong response rate — and early 5-star reviews build momentum fast.
After this first batch, new customer requests fire automatically — no more list uploads. Every completed job triggers the text on its own. This step is a one-time task.
5
Your Weekly Stars Digest
Every week, bizbot emails you a performance summary — no logging into anything required.
- → Requests sent, delivered, clicked, and converted to reviews
- → New reviews received — star rating, reviewer name, platform
- → Response status — drafted, approved, posted
- → Overall rating trend — where you are and direction of travel
You don't need to check Google manually. If a negative review comes in, bizbot alerts you within minutes — so you can respond fast, before it sits unanswered.
