Setup Guide
AI Chatbot
Answer visitor questions instantly and capture leads 24/7 — directly on your website.
What You'll Need Before We Start
- Your website URL (the address visitors use to find you online)
- A list of your services with brief descriptions
- Your top FAQs and their answers (what do customers ask you most?)
- Access to your website's backend — OR you can let bizbot add the chat widget for you
- Your business hours and phone number for the bot to share with visitors
Don't have website access? That's totally fine. If bizbot built your website, we'll add the chat widget for you at no extra charge. If you use a third-party site (like Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress), we'll send you one line of code to paste in — it takes about 2 minutes.
Step-by-Step Setup
1
Share Your Website URL, Services, and FAQs
Email this info to hello@bizbottech.com with the subject: "Chatbot Setup – [Your Business Name]".
- → Your website address (e.g., smithplumbing.com)
- → A list of every service you offer — even a rough bullet list works
- → 5–15 FAQs and their answers (think: what do customers call or text you about most?)
- → Your business hours and the best phone number for urgent questions
- → What you want the bot to do when someone wants to book — call you, fill out a form, or just give them your number?
Great FAQ examples: "Do you offer free estimates?", "How soon can you come out?", "Do you work on weekends?", "What areas do you serve?", "What brands do you carry?"
2
bizbot Trains Your Chatbot
Our team feeds your info into the chatbot and trains it on your specific business. It learns your services, FAQ answers, hours, and how to handle common requests.
- → We also scan your website to pick up additional info automatically
- → The bot is configured to capture lead info (name, phone, email) before answering questions
- → We set up a fallback response for questions it can't answer (e.g., "Great question! Let me have someone call you.")
- → We test it internally before sending it to you
This step takes 24–48 hours. No action needed from you — just keep an eye out for our "your chatbot is ready to test" email.
3
The Embed Code Gets Added to Your Website
We'll send you a small snippet of code to add to your website. This is what makes the chat bubble appear in the corner of every page.
Your bizbot Chatbot Embed Code
<!-- bizbot Chatbot Widget -->
<script
src="https://bizbottech.com/widget.js"
data-bot-id="YOUR-BOT-ID"
></script>
- → Copy this code from the email bizbot sends you
- → Paste it just before the
</body>tag in your website's HTML - → Using WordPress? Install a "Header & Footer Scripts" plugin and paste it in the footer section
- → Using Wix or Squarespace? Go to Settings → Custom Code → Footer and paste it there
- → Don't want to do it yourself? Just say the word and bizbot will handle it for you

4
Test Your Chatbot on Your Website
Once the code is live, visit your website and click the chat bubble in the corner. Test it like a first-time visitor would.
This is what your visitors will see — a clean chat widget in the corner of your site, ready to help 24/7.
- → Ask it your most common customer questions
- → Try asking something it shouldn't know — see if the fallback response sounds natural
- → Submit a test lead (use your own name/number) to make sure lead capture is working
- → Check your inbox — you should receive a "New Lead" email from bizbot within seconds
5
Review Your Captured Leads
Every visitor who chats with your bot and shares their info shows up in your bizbot leads inbox. Here's what each lead entry looks like:
| Name | Phone | Question Asked | Date | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jennifer M. | (214) 555-0182 | "Do you fix water heaters?" | Today, 2:14 PM | New |
| Carlos R. | (972) 555-0391 | "What are your weekend hours?" | Today, 11:48 AM | Follow Up |
- → Log into your bizbot dashboard and click "Leads" to see all chatbot leads
- → You also get an email notification every time a new lead is captured
- → Click any lead to read the full conversation transcript
- → Mark leads as "Contacted," "Booked," or "Closed" to stay organized
