A rolling changelog of features we've added recently. Most are purely client-side and need no backend changes — fire up the editor and they're there.
Friendlier first-open, waveform-aware mobile scrub
- Editor's empty-state panel grew a 🎬 icon, clearer copy, and a one-click "5-step tour" link that reruns the onboarding.
- Mobile viewer's seek bar now sits over the first audio clip's waveform — scrub with visual cues, not blind.
One-Tap Polish
- ✨ Inspector button applies clip-aware "make this look/sound good" — cinematic grade + fades for video, Ken Burns + bumps for images, clean+normalize+fades for audio, Bold-Pop + fades for text.
Frame PNG, ripple-delete multi-select
- 📷 captures the current preview frame (composite of video + caption overlay) as a PNG.
- Shift+Delete ripple-deletes every selected clip at once.
Sticker pack, per-clip notes
- 30-emoji sticker pack drops 3-second oversized text overlays on V2.
- Per-clip notes round-trip through saves and print on the storyboard PDF.
Reverse playback, Open-in-Viewer
- Reverse-playback flag bakes via FFmpeg
reverse/areverse. - 📱 Viewer chip opens the mobile viewer in a fresh tab for quick mobile-shape testing.
Auto-fit on open, changelog link from editor + landing
- Projects auto zoom-to-fit on load — no scrolling to find the start.
- ✨ New chip in the nav opens this changelog.
- Landing page links the changelog from the features section.
Tabbed inspector
- 5-tab strip (All / Transform / Color / Audio / Caption) groups the dozen-plus inspector sections without losing any.
Slip edit, wider inspector, Ctrl+S labelled snapshot
- , and . slip the source window without moving the clip on the timeline.
- Inspector ↔ toggle expands to 380px for grade-heavy sessions.
- Ctrl+S takes over the browser's save dialog and asks for a snapshot label.
Solid / gradient backgrounds, apply-to-track
- One-click 1920×1080 solid or gradient backgrounds (Black / White / CutRoom / Sunset / Ocean / Custom HEX).
- "Apply to track" copies the current clip's grade, speed, fades, and crop focus to every other clip on the same track.
Normalize, mute/solo shortcuts, insert mode
- Normalize peak to −1 dB with one click (no other processing).
- Alt+M / Alt+S mute / solo the selected clip's track.
- ⤵ Insert mode pushes later clips forward when adding new ones at the playhead.
Clipboard + faster shortcuts
- Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V copy selected clips and paste them at the playhead, preserving relative offsets.
- Help modal lists every Wave-21–23 shortcut so nothing stays hidden.

Q/W ripple-trim, right-click menu, trim badge
- Q ripples the selected clip's tail back to the playhead; W ripples its head forward.
- Right-click on any clip for Split / Duplicate / Trim / Reset / Delete.
- Floating duration badge follows the cursor while trimming or dragging.
Bundle export, marker nav, tap-tempo
- Bundle checkbox in export encodes 16:9 + 9:16 + 1:1 in one click.
- [ and ] jump between chapter markers.
- Tap-tempo button drops 16 BPM-aligned beat markers from the playhead.
Webcam recorder, audio-only export, project thumbnails
- 📹 Cam / Shift+R records from webcam with EC/NS/AGC, drops on V2 as a PiP overlay.
- 🎧 Audio only (.wav) renders the full mix via OfflineAudioContext.
- Dashboard cards show a live thumbnail captured from your editing session.
Dirty-state title, beforeunload, reset
- ● in the tab title flags unsaved changes until the next save.
- Browser warns before closing a dirty tab.
- One click resets every per-clip override back to defaults.
Landing + pricing match shipped reality
- Twenty feature cards on the landing — each one corresponds to a real shipped capability.
- Removed unbuilt claims (no "AI Music Matching", no "Lumetri color wheels", no "4K export").
Audio mixer + frame-grid snap
- 🎚 Mixer with per-track gain, mute, solo.
- ⌗ Frame snap aligns clips to a 24fps grid when zoom is high.
Mobile viewer
/cutroom/view.html— touch-friendly read-only preview with proper speed-aware playback and caption rendering.- The editor's mobile gate now offers the viewer instead of just saying "desktop required."
Captions → Edit AI, ducking, VTT
- One click pipes your timeline's AI captions into Edit AI as a transcript.
- Auto-duck music tracks under A1 dialogue.
- WebVTT export alongside SRT.
Search, sort, fix open URL, PWA from dashboard
- Project search input + Recently-edited / Name / Duration sort.

- Up to 20 snapshots per project, time-travel with safe pre-restore snapshot.
